I’m Monique, a primary school teacher from the Netherlands, supporting children and mothers in Rwanda through Akagera Good Neighbors. Through my volunteer work and fundraising, I hope to bring practical help, hope, and lasting change.

Help Us Feed 44 Children at Summer Camp in Rwanda

This summer, we are organizing an 8-week Summer Camp in Rwanda for 44 children and 6 coaches. For these children, camp is more than fun — it is a safe place to learn, play, grow, and be cared for.
One of the biggest needs is food.
For many of these children, regular nutritious meals are not guaranteed. During camp, we want to provide daily breakfast and one warm meal a day for everyone.
That means:
- 50 people
- 56 days
- Around 5,600 meals
Our total food budget is €6,000–€7,500.
Every donation helps us provide rice, beans, vegetables, fruit, eggs, and other basic food supplies. Even a small gift can make a real difference.
€1.50 = 1 meal
€15 = food for one child for several days
€175 = meals for the whole camp for one day
Please help us give these children not only a beautiful summer, but also the nourishment and care they deserve.
Help Build a Women’s Training Centre in Rwanda

What began as sewing lessons for a small group of women in Rwanda has grown into something far more powerful: a shared path toward independence, dignity, and lasting opportunity.
These women are not only learning new skills — they are building something of their own. They already contribute financially by paying together for fabric, needles, and thread, and they have shown incredible commitment, resilience, and determination.
A building has now been purchased and is currently being renovated to become a women’s training centre: a place where women can learn practical skills such as sewing and hairdressing, grow in confidence, and create new opportunities for themselves and their families.
To purchase the building, a loan was taken out. That loan now needs to be repaid through monthly rent, alongside the ongoing costs of qualified teachers and materials.
Your impact
- €85 = 1 sewing machine
- €125 = 1 qualified teacher for 1 month
- €150 = 1 month of rent
- €275 = 1 month of rent + 1 teacher
This project is not about creating dependency. It is about making space for women to build their own future.
